ABSTRACT
This chapter outlines the utility and interpretation of what McCormack (2011, p. 664) terms “homosexually-themed language.” Recognizing the role decreasing homohysteria has on homosexually-themed language, this chapter applies McCormack’s (2011) theorizing to analyze the language used by participants of Academy 2 and University FC.
