ABSTRACT
Before she got arrested, Nichola and her boyfriend were dealing drugs. The day she found out she was pregnant, their apartment was raided by the police. Her boyfriend, the father of her son, went out the fire escape window and onto the roof to run from the police. He fell off the rooftop from five stories up, onto his head and died a short time later. Nichola was devastated by the loss, and fought tears during our interview when she spoke about it.
