ABSTRACT
Energy makes things happen. It is used every day to heat and light our houses, to run our cars and to make electronic gadgets work. It is used for transport and today we travel in ways that previous generations would never have thought possible. Industry uses large amounts of energy in manufacturing processes. However, concerns about the amount of energy we use and the depletion of fossil fuels feature regularly in the news and on television.
