ABSTRACT
The Food Babe's real name is Vani Hari. She is a blogging and social media queen. A former computer science major with no academic training as a food scientist, nutritionist or chef, she has managed to become a major voice in our national conversations on food. To protest the sandwich chain's use of azodicarbonamide in its bread, Ms. Hari posted a video of herself chewing another item in which chemical is found: a yoga mat. Vani Hari and Lisa Leake, just two women, were able to get a huge conglomerate to make a change to their signature product. Hari and Lisa Leake launched a petition against Kraft because of dyes Yellow No. 5 and Yellow No. 6 in their signature Macaroni & Cheese. They carefully highlight the two versions of Mac & Cheese - American style and UK style. They have even gone to the trouble of preparing both the UK's Cheesey Pasta and America's Mac & Cheese in the video.
