ABSTRACT
In this chapter, Ann Margaret Sharp argues that an authentic education in democracy and democratic citizenship occurs through participation in a community of inquiry in which, through dialogue and collaborative action, a group of peers questions its own status quo, inquires toward greater justice and fulfilment, and discovers the courage to make fundamental changes.
