ABSTRACT

The future seems bleak. According to one projection, by mid-twenty-first century, 8/10th of the world’s population might not be required to sustain the world economy. 1 Hence, we can speculate that there will be repeated armed rebellions by the ‘have-nots’ and those who suffer from relative deprivation. Here lies the importance of fleshing out a successful COIN, which can partly be made by making historical studies. And this volume has attempted to do this job.
