ABSTRACT

This chapter is structured differently from the other chapters in that although there will be some analysis, the full analysis of this particular autoethnography will come in the following, concluding chapter. I want readers to digest this story fully and because it deals with sensitive issues,1 I want to provide as many details as possible to the reader. From my point of view as a feminist autoethnographer, it should demonstrate that not all feminisms are the same and not all feminists respond similarly. I want the reader to make his or her own judgements on these matters and, as I say, Iwill offermy analysis in the following chapter ‘Sensitizing the feminist ‘I’’.
