ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on recently published new proposals that appear most significant, as they suggest alternatives for green governance. The work of Olivia Woolley attempts to use science to support law as he have been doing with my work on integrity since 1992 and the publishing of my first work, The Principle of Integrity. It has been difficult to continue to uphold integrity outside of the disciplines of forestry, and in some exponents of conservation biology, hence Woolley is right in starting her quest for ecological governance by an examination of the scientific concepts that might support it. In contrast, integrity includes all the biotic aspects of the system so that the protection of integrity represents a far stronger, thus worthier goal of policy: as a comparison, perhaps it is similar to justice as a goal, whereas resilience may at best be compared to fairness instead.
