ABSTRACT

Technology has moved dramatically from its role of providing information and data to allowing virtual reality experiences. Technology has important effects on classroom instruction throughout the world. Accordingly, the role of technology in schools is determined by access to fast and high-quality Internet available in the classroom. Potentially then in most classrooms some types of technology can be infused in the curriculum and teaching and learning activities as teachers see fit. Knowledge of technology differs among teachers and students. Further, Internet access varies across homes and schools. Students' opportunity to develop technology skills is impacted by the technology available in their homes. Technology can easily provide access to much useful information and store it for rapid retrieval later. It also can provide access to real-time data. The speed of accessing information quickly and organizing it effectively allows more time to think and to understand the implications of the obtained information.
