ABSTRACT

The desire to access research to inform school psychology practice in order to improve lives and outcomes of youth was evident in the founding of School Psychology Review; it is a desire that remains an integral part of National Association of School Psychologists's (NASP) vision. School Psychology Review is a refereed scholarly journal published by the NASP. Once manuscripts are subjected to the peer-review process, methodological rigor is the most common reason a manuscript is rejected. The percentage of manuscripts accepted for publication was 7.9%. Most manuscripts submitted to School Psychology Review are as general article submissions. An editorial assistant provides assistance to authors with submission requirements, difficulties with the online journal portal, collection of copyright release forms, etc. The screening by the editor is a time-saving measure for School Psychology Review associate editors and editorial board members as well as authors, in that it allows them to quickly identify a more appropriate outlet for their work.
