These are a range of imaginative ideas that can be used at the end of a learning sequence or session to provide both the trainer and participant with a summative evaluation of the learning acquired. Consideration is also given to the range of assessment techniques that can be used formatively during the training for the benefit of participants and trainers.

It is important that trainers consider ways of showing suitable progress by their participants so that they can demonstrate the effectiveness of their training.
