ABSTRACT
It may be convenient to the reader to have the conclusions of this study brought together in a short final chapter. We have concentrated on three aspects of the subject of North Sea oil and gas and their relationship to the economy as a whole. First we considered our oil and gas resources as a problem of resource management. We then looked at the effect of the development of these resources on the industrial sector of the economy. Finally we analysed the links between oil and general economic policy.
