ABSTRACT
In previous chapters, the ideas of process of change, patient journey, and process evaluation were presented. From this chapter on, a detailed understanding of the phases of the journey, which includes both the actors, the person with hearing loss (PHL) and communication partners (CPs), and the process will be discussed. This chapter presents the first phase, pre-awareness. It is important to note that not much literature exists on this pre-clinical phase, as most of the literature is on the clinical population.
