Communication is an umbrella term for a wide range of actions. One of a number of possible ways to communicate is to interact (Giles and Street, 1994). Interaction is action between people, such as conversing, which requires a minimum

of two active parties. Other ways of communicating do not necessarily require this direct person-to-person relationship.
