“Pioneers in the Prevention of Mass Violence”: Filmed Interviews Organized by David Hamburg for Insight into the Evolution of the Prevention Movement
Pages 4

Since positive movement on the vital agenda of this book requires educating the general public of democratic countries as well as the scientific community and the policy community, we have undertaken additional ventures. One is a unique set of twenty-eight filmed interviews with leaders of the prevention movement, some of whose careers in that field began early in the Cold War. Their views are central to the content of this book. The unique compilation of interviews will be freely distributed throughout the world so that students, scholars, and policymakers and their advisers can take advantage of the rich experience and wisdom reflected in the work of these leaders, the “pioneers in the prevention of mass violence.” The interviews, conducted by David Hamburg, were filmed in 2008 by Rick English, under the direction of Eric Hamburg.
