Throughout these thirty years, and it is only natural it should have been so, I have been called upon to write about the education of adults more than a few times. There have been articles, interviews, and texts to be read and debated in conferences, on adult education and politics, adult education and citizenship, and adult education and development. In addition, there were countless times when I was summoned to discuss adult literacy education, an important chapter in education in general, but especially so in the education of adults.
