ABSTRACT
I first met Thomas Berry at Camp Chewonki in Wiscasset, Maine, at a conference on Teaching for the Environment in Higher Education, and got a firsthand experience with a true elder and prophet of our time. I would like to quote from Matthew Fox’s eloquent observations, made in the summer 1999 volume of EarthLight magazine.
