ABSTRACT

Both China and ASEAN Plus Three (APT) are undergoing a new historical process, a process that will lead to the formation of a regional community. In the context of the ongoing globalization and continual evolution of the international system, APT integration has gradually become a basic trend in the region. Since the end of the Cold War, international realities have demonstrated that regionalization is not only a key theme of the contemporary era, but also a tool that is able to address problems and challenges that countries face. China, with its growing power as a major actor and the Asian developing region’s only UNSC permanent member, will undoubtedly play a key role in the formation of the APT community. Generally speaking, despite the obstacles and disputes that currently exist, APT integration will continue to develop and the interactions of China and other APT members will continue to broaden and become more profound.
