ABSTRACT
Mythology has it that the reason psychologists studied rats so much is that they could not keep them out of the laboratory. Studying other animals required food to be kept around. Rats came in uninvited, to help themselves, so psycholo gists decided (it shouldn’t be a total loss) to study them.
