ABSTRACT

The editors interviewed Michael Madsen, who is a conceptual artist and documentary filmmaker who has consistently placed participants in his art projects and films in the future. Much of Madsen’s oeuvre concerns how humans prepare for a future full of limit events or what science fiction names the singularity. Madsen’s trilogy on the future of humankind and how speculative documentaries mediate that future was the main subject of the interview (Copenhagen, August 21, 2018).
