ABSTRACT

According to Gould, the Inigo Jones MS (1607; identi ed as no. 8 in his list of Masonic Manuscripts, also called the Old Charges) was published for the rst time in the Masonic Magazine, July 1881, a er being purchased by the Rev. A. F. A. Woodford, and the scroll itself was sold on 12 November 1879 by Puttick & Simpson and described by the cataloguer as ‘ e Antient Constitutions of the Free and Accepted Masons.
