ABSTRACT

Networks are the building blocks of social media and can carry useful business insights. Network analysis consists of constructing, analyzing, and understanding social media networks. Social Media Analytics can be used for a variety of purposes, and it includes network analysis. Businesses can use network analysis to explore their Twitter or Facebook followers and identify influential members on those networks. A social network is a group of nodes, representing social entities such as people or organizations, and links formed by these social entities. Social Network Analysis is the science of studying and understanding social networks12 and social networking. Geo co-existence networks are formed when two or more entities co-exist in a geographic location. Networks can also be classified based the weight assigned to the links among the nodes. There are two types of weighted networks: weighted networks and unweighted networks. Eigenvector centrality measures the importance of a node based on its connections with other important nodes in a network.
