The information gathered as a result of determining the various product requirements should be consolidated in the form of a specification, contract or order and then subject to review. In custom sales situation, the product or service is being produced or customized for a specific customer and with several departments of the organization having an input to the contract and its acceptability. Careful examination of customer needs and expectations is needed to identify all the essential product requirements.
