ABSTRACT
Chapter 5: Special Transportation Needs of Older Passengers describes the special transportation challenges of older passengers. These challenges are presented as physical limitations, cognitive limitations, and situational limitations or barriers to maximizing community mobility. Levels of assistance and support are described to address the needs of the current and emerging “door-through-door” generation.
