ABSTRACT

What a botheration I am to you. The diaries are apt to be sold out before the new year – that is why I did not reserve it for when I’m in the ‘Wen’ in Jany ’03. The diary is called – but tis a mere memorandum tablet, is entitled – thus – “Charles Letts’s Royal Octavo. Red Tablet. Red Diary. 1902 (this years) Price one shilling London.” (outside front page) – I can fi nd no number. Opens, end on. Size, 6 inches x 9¾ inches. I got mine at Flints – a few doors opposite Fetter Lane – west of it, on S. side Fleet St. But they may have gone fashionable now, & only sell stationery.
