ABSTRACT

In January 2004, I was contacted by the Policy of Women Team, Ministry of Health and Welfare to consult with them with regards to the trial Case Management of the Matriarchal LowIncome Families Project. I proposed a solution focused (SF) approach that would effectively utilise the strengths of social workers, clients and communities for the project. It was the fi rst time that a welfare project of the government in South Korea allowed and approved the practice of one model! The Solution Center was assigned supervisory roles for this project. This chapter describes how we used the SF approach during supervision during this project and the results of the research for this project.
