ABSTRACT

Contradictions cohabitating in every sphere of life are what make India a uniquely exciting and challenging environment in which to operate. The modern and traditional, science and superstition, the global and local, extreme diversity and the underlying Indianness have all found a precarious balance in India. Indian businesses are an intrinsic part of this milieu, which is why the country and organisational culture play a key role in determining the performance feedback system in companies. The soft versus hard, indirect versus direct, and positive versus negative feedback are issues within any coaching intervention.
