ABSTRACT

Strong invariance model (M3) vs. Weak invariance model (M2): A statistically significant Δχ2 value was detected when M3 was compared with M2 (14.674 (6), p < .05). However, we also examined the ΔCFI value as an alternative index to compare these competing models. As can be seen in Exercise Table 4.2, the ΔCFI value between M3 and M2 was .003, indicating that the strong invariance model is acceptable (the recommended cut-point is .01).
