ABSTRACT

Singapore-based low-cost carrier Tiger Airways Holdings forecast a 12.8 million SGD ($8.93 million) second quarter 2016 net loss, down 93% from a $143 million loss in the year-ago period. Revenue rose 12.8% to $117 million while expenses increased 2.4% to $125 million, partly due to higher maintenance charges, higher aircraft rentals, aircraft depreciation and appreciation of the US dollar against the Singapore dollar.
