ABSTRACT
In recent years, the concept of leadership in education has become the fabled philosopher’s stone of mediaeval times. The stone represented the search for the chemical formula that could turn lead into gold. While the alchemists of the day suspected that lead and gold were quite close, they were never able to pull it off.
