ABSTRACT
The second of the four articles George Eliot contributed to the newly established Pall Mall Gazette, 'Servants' Logic' is noted in her Journal for 25 March 1865, some time after its composition: 'I have written nothing but beginnings since I finished a little article for the Pall Mall on the Logic of Servants.'
