ABSTRACT
The Pacific Northwest leads the nation in production of educated adults. The Trans-Pacific Partnership has never been a hotter topic, and content consumers with Far Eastern heritage consistently show me plenty love. In the summer of 2015, Donnell Alexander, a son of Derrick Thomas signed a contract to traverse the state and facilitate conversations about the history and aesthetics of Pacific Northwest hip-hop. Salisbury had the Pacific Northwest's most Black-owned cell phone stores, Helio brand, until 2008. Bikes are enormous in the Pacific Northwest, both physically and as a signifier of the growing economic distance between Black and White. Bikes had become a harbinger of gentrification, a sign that White home ownership in a recently-Black neighbourhood was reaching critical mass. Portland slouch in the liberal trappings department has seen its population flung far across the city by urban renewal strategies that spurred on gentrification and bargain home ownership deals for White newcomers.
