ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts covered in the preceding chapters of this book. The book discusses thinking critically about law in theory and focuses on how to develop one’s abilities – from attaining high grades at university to gaining employment and using one’s skills in the workplace as well as for the rest of one’s life. It shows that there are a number of different definitions of what ‘critical’ thinking is. The book explains evidence for hypothesis provided by the various definitions offered by academics as well as the law students, staff and graduates who participated in the studies conducted for Thinking Critically About Law. It discusses the importance of thinking critically in the workplace and beyond. The book concludes that not only do one needs to know how to think critically for one’s studies and for one’s career, but he also needs to think critically and creatively as to how to achieve one’s professional goals.
