Women's health: An ongoing issue

The Women’s recommendations from the 1988 Women’s Health meeting have done a lot for our women’s health and the 1993 Torres Strait Health Strategy Report, which touched on ‘Women’s’ Health, also stated:

… one of the major issues related to women’s health is that of perinatal health. The stillbirth, neonatal mortality, perinatal and infant mortality rates for the Torres Strait Region are all more than double Queensland rates.
