identify the types and subtypes of adrenergic receptors;
list the effects observed after stimulation and blockade of peripheral adreoreceptors;
outline the central nervous system effects of adrenergic stimulation and blockade;
describe the role of dopamine in autonomic nervous system function;
derive the side effects and clinical indications of adrenergic agents from a knowledge of receptor distribution and sympathetic nervous system effects.
