ABSTRACT
Control mapping is used to achieve an effective relationship between input values and process parameters, as described in §23.1.4 (p.641). There is no universal solution that is appropriate for all circumstances, but the general principles can be adapted to suit the particular task at hand. This section suggests some appropriate mappings for improving the effectiveness of frequency and amplitude control, which are parameters that appear often in audio processes.
