Elam and the Bible (Peter Dubovský)
This chapter first investigates the etymology of the Hebrew and Greek terms for Elam. The rest of the chapter is dedicated to the passages in the Bible that mention Elam. These occurrences can be divided into two groups: (I) Elam as an eponym and a personal name; and (II) Elam as a toponym and an ethnic category. Most of the relevant passages are from the Old Testament, but there is also one occurrence of the term Elam in the New Testament that will be briefly discussed.
