ABSTRACT
It is impossible, in a book exploring the complex relationship between the three East Asian countries and the LACs, to avoid talking about international relations scenarios, especially in the case of a region that for so long has been – rightly – considered the American backyard and that has maintained strong ties with Europe. During the last 15 years things have changed, and the importance of the three Asian countries analysed in this book cannot be overlooked, China in primis.
