ABSTRACT

After scanning the globe to find a proven method for encouraging college and career readiness, Cliona Hannon contacted Rick Dalton about the possibility of using the CFES model in Ireland, starting in schools servicing low-income schools in Dublin. By adding the local networks using the core practices to the array of programs, Trinity has expanded college opportunities for students formerly excluded because of deep cultural barriers. The Trinity Access Programmes (TAP) have developed their own distinctive approach to create new avenues into colleges and career access and we encourage schools, colleges, and communities to adopt and adapt these coherent and cohesive practices.
