If you share one message with your constituents from the Guide to College & Career Readiness, let it be this: A college education is no longer a luxuryit is a necessity. While higher education can be a ticket out of poverty, it has many other advantages beyond economic gain-including the fact that college graduates are healthier and even live longer than those without degrees.
