ABSTRACT
Black-and-white photography today may be even more popular than in the heyday of black-and-white film. I know that sounds odd but blackand-white photography has been enjoying a tremendous renaissance in the past few years. And with so many more people taking pictures now than when there was just black-and-white film available, I think it may be possible to say it is more popular now than it was then. Certainly we are in an exciting period where we have many ways of converting our color photographs to black-and-white. There are even a few dedicated monochrome sensor digital cameras that have come on the market in the last few years.
