ABSTRACT
The above, or some variation of it, is a common response to the topic of High Dynamic Range Imagery, or HDRI, or simply HDR. People generally fall into two camps: they either love it, or they hate it. The thing is, those who say they hate it generally are only aware of one type of it. Similarly, those who say they love it typically only do the kind that those who hate it hate. Some might say then that the relationship is fated. But it needn’t be that way.
