ABSTRACT
Along with many professionals in higher education, we were thrilled at the increased focus sexual violence has drawn from the federal government and in popular media in the past year. It was gratifying to see Barack Obama educate on these issues through the It’s on Us campaign. It was heartening to see Lady Gaga and Joe Biden bring the issue of sexual violence to the forefront at the Oscar ceremony in early 2016. Budget moneys on campuses across the country have been reallocated to support survivors, improve education efforts,
and train Title IX investigators, law enforcement, and student conduct officers.
