ABSTRACT
Canada and the United States are both at present involved in two sets of trade negotiations that involve agriculture. Indeed, in the Uruguay Round of the multilateral trade negotiations (MTN) agriculture has been singled out as a sector in which significant changes are needed. It is the oft-expressed hope of many that the Canadian-U.S. bilateral trade negotiations (BTN) will serve as a model for the MTN, particularly in agriculture.
