Key Points in This Chapter • People on the autism spectrum value and desire an education,
and try hard to achieve it but are constrained by many obstacles. These obstacles are seen from primary through to tertiary education. In some cases they discourage people on the autism spectrum from participating in education, and in other cases they encourage them to seek further experiences through tertiary education.
