Comments on Definitions of Philosophical Terms [1905–06]

During the period from 1903 to 1906 Russell wrote short comments on the definitions of various philosophical terms. Those comments that are reprinted below were originally published in the Bulletin de la Société Française de Philosophie, 5 (1905): 221 (B&R C05.08), and 6 (1906): 307, 320 (B&R C06.16). Couturat had asked Russell to contribute these comments, and in the third comment below we see Couturat commenting in turn on Russell’s comment.
