ABSTRACT
The previous chapter dealt with the will of God for human behavior, the Shari‘a, and how it can be discovered. This has always been the main concern. But Islam has also had both a theological movement and a philosophical movement, which have been of less importance but still significant. These are discussed in this chapter.
