ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we will consider common triplet and duplet figures that occur below the beat level. In simple meters, if the division-level triplet is subdivided, the result is two sub-triplets, commonly notated as a group of six or two groups of three (two sub-triplets). See Example 8-1.
