ABSTRACT

Visual communication refers to the ways in which the images that humans interact with either intentionally or unintentionally, such as signs, symbols, pictures, photographs, and art, create meaning in their lives. As human beings we create, use, and interpret symbols to help us make sense of the world around us and our experiences in that world. Many of these symbols are visual. t hink about the stop sign you encounter when you approach an intersection. What does it look like? How is it memorable? How do you react when you see this sign? Do you stop? Hopefully, you do! u ltimately what this involves is that the stop sign visually represents a suggestion of what you should do. it has persuasive power. it tells you that you should stop and that if you do not, the implications could be negative.
