ABSTRACT

Earlier, we learned that television is a producer’s medium. Many observers of the television production process believe that the television director plays a role secondary to that of the producer. Most of us are familiar with the fame and glamour that are associated with film directors, and you can probably name the directors of your favorite movies. On the other hand, rarely are we able to recall the name of the director of our favorite television show. It is more likely that the producer’s name shines in the credits.
